Tracy and Kandy met 5 years ago while working in the field of developmental disabilities. Tracy had been in the field for almost 15 years and Kandy for nearly 7, most recently as the Executive and Associate Directors of an agency providing residential supports to individuals with disabilities.  Tracy’s business skills coupled with Kandy’s passion for health and wellness naturally led them to develop their business, Ulew Natural Products, LLC.  Both women have an appreciation for natural beauty and native cultures, Tracy having lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 3 years and Kandy having lived in the western highlands of Guatemala, Central America for 2 years.  Their company name “Ulew” (oo-loo) means “earth” in the Quiche language of the Guatemalan Maya with whom Kandy lived and worked while serving in the U.S. Peace Corps.   

Kandace Stamer Bernal holds a B.A in Biology.  She has had a lifelong interest in health, wellness and the environment and has spent the last 25 years educating family and friends on these issues.  Kandy currently practices and teaches yoga, is an avid recycler, a volunteer master gardener and a member of a local CSA which grows organic produce with minimal environmental impact.  Over the past several years Kandy has discarded unsafe cleaning and household chemicals in favor of safer and more eco-friendly products and is currently on a crusade to find safe, healthy cosmetics.  She is always searching for ways in which she can minimize her personal impact on the earth and future generations.  Kandy’s inspiration is her large, loving family and her motivation springs from her desire to leave a healthy environment to her nephew and 9 young nieces.

Tracy Graham holds a B.S in Psychology and an M.S. in Business Organizational Management.  In recent years, her interest has been in helping those touched by cancer live life to the fullest.  Tracy's mother just lost her battle with cancer at the age of 57 and Tracy has since dedicated her life to her journey toward health and disease prevention.  Her personal experience along with her past role as the Executive Director of a Cancer Center for Healthy Living have taught her the importance of doing all you can to stay healthy.
